Our Story

Born in the heart of Uttarakhand, Pahad ka Pradeep is dedicated to showcasing the untouched beauty of the Indian Himalayas. We believe in authentic experiences, local culture, and sustainable trekking.

Our Mission

To provide safe, sustainable, and awe-inspiring trekking experiences in the Himalayas, ensuring our trekkers leave with unforgettable memories while we protect our fragile alpine ecosystems.

Local Expertise

Our guides, led by Pradeep, are natives of these mountains. Their deep knowledge of the trails, weather patterns, and local folklore adds an irreplaceable layer of authenticity to every trek.

Community First

We strictly adhere to "Leave No Trace" principles. We also partner with local homestays in villages like Kalap to ensure our tourism directly benefits the mountain communities.

Meet Pradeep & The Team

"The mountains are calling, and I must go." Our team is composed entirely of locals from the Tons River valley. We grew up walking these trails and know every peak, stream, and meadow.

The Pahad Ka Pradeep Difference

100% Local Enterprise

When you trek with us, your money goes directly into the local economy. We hire local guides, porters, and source food from local farmers.

Small Group Sizes

We cap our groups at 12-15 people to ensure personalized attention, better safety, and minimal environmental impact.

Off-Beat Trails

While others crowd the commercial routes, we specialize in hidden gems like Karbha Top and Bharadshartal, offering pristine wilderness.

Our Journey

2015: The First Steps

Pradeep, a local from Kalap village, started taking small groups of friends on the ancient shepherd trails leading up to Karbha Top. The raw beauty of the region left them mesmerized.

2018: Forming the Team

As demand grew, Pradeep brought together the most experienced local guides from the Tons Valley. We officially formed 'Pahad Ka Pradeep', committing to 100% local employment.

Today: Sustainable Expeditions

We now run multiple high-altitude expeditions including Vijay Top and Bharadshartal, leading hundreds of trekkers safely while maintaining our strict 'Leave No Trace' policies.

Kalap Village

Our Home: Kalap Village

Located at 7,500 ft in the upper Garhwal region, Kalap is not just our basecamp; it is our home. The village is accessible only by foot, preserving its ancient wooden architecture, terraced farms, and the rich cultural heritage of the Tons Valley.

When you trek with us, your journey begins with a homestay in Kalap. You will experience authentic Garhwali hospitality, eat food sourced directly from the surrounding organic farms, and listen to folklore passed down through generations.

Commitment to Safety

The mountains are unforgiving, and safety is our absolute highest priority.

  • ✓ All trek leaders are certified in Advanced Mountaineering (NIM/JIM).
  • ✓ Guides hold current Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certifications.
  • ✓ Every expedition carries medical oxygen cylinders and comprehensive trauma kits.
  • ✓ Daily monitoring of blood oxygen levels (SpO2) and pulse for all trekkers.

Community Impact

We measure our success not by the number of trekkers, but by the positive impact on our valley.

  • ✓ 100% of our staff (guides, cooks, porters, mule handlers) are from the Tons Valley.
  • ✓ We source 80% of our trek rations locally, supporting village agriculture.
  • ✓ A portion of our profits goes toward local school infrastructure and medical camps.
  • ✓ We run annual trail-cleaning drives to remove legacy waste from the mountains.
